Parenting → LET THE CHILD TO THINK SMART
Creative thinking is different from rational thinking. Rational/logical thinking is selective, analytical and follows a structured thought process. Creative thinking is original, lateral and exploratory. For the healthy growth of the child, it is important not to be judgmental of his views and actions. If the parents have domineering attitude towards the child’s behavior, ideas and thoughts, it may eclipse his individuality and self-expressions do turn the child to a rebel want to break free. Avoid strong negative statements like “Your never obey me” or “You always dirty the room”. Instead you could say, “You forgot to put away your shoes”. This will let the child to know that OK. Maybe he was wrong but there is always a next time. Use rewards to discipline your child and to appreciate some constructive behavior coming from your child like cleaning up his shelf, or helping with the chores.
