He should also be emotionally stable, socially positive and imbibe the right values, i.e., develop a wholesome personality. The world you create around the child and your input in his growth strongly influences his personality. A happy home provides an anchor to the child. The kind of home you give your child and the warmth of the family relationships stay with him all his life.
Plenty of love and care help the child feel secure and develop a strong personality. Of course, there will be problems occasionally and you will have to use your discretion for what to overlook and what to deal with. Whole talking to your child always maintain eye contact – it helps bring in transparency in the relationship. Make the chat between yourself and the child a regular habit. Touch is a powerful medium of communication with the child. A pat, a hearty handshake, ruffling his hair or a hug can say much more than words. Each child is an individual. Make sure to the child focused attention .i.e., spend time with each separately. This will help you build a strong bond with the child and enable you to understand him strength and weaknesses better.
